St. Thomas’ College of Law has consistently organised Orientation Programs at the beginning of each academic session to welcome students of B.A. LL.B. and LL.B. and prepare them for the academic year ahead. These programmes serve as an important platform to familiarise students with the institution’s academic framework, professional expectations, and student support services.
Academic Session 2026–27
The Orientation Programme for LL.B. and B.A. LL.B. (Session 2026–27) was successfully organised on 12th September 2026, at St. Thomas’ College of Law. The programme commenced with the assembly, ceremonial lamp lighting, and prayer, followed by the Welcome Address by Ms Riti Singh, Coordinator of Law department ,STCL.
The programme included the introduction of various academic committees by their respective heads and insightful addresses by Prof. (Dr.) S.C. Panda, Vice Chairman, STHES; Dr. Prabhat Mittal, Professor, Delhi University as Guest of Honour; and Dr. Anuradha Amos, Secretary, STHES. The distinguished speakers addressed and motivated the students, emphasising the importance of academic excellence, discipline, professional ethics, and holistic development and ethical and responsible use of AI in the field of Law.
The Orientation Programme provided a meaningful and motivating beginning to the students’ journey in legal education. The successful conduct of the event was made possible through the valuable guidance and support of the management, dignitaries, faculty members, and the entire organising team.
Academic Session 2025–26
The Orientation Program for the Academic Session 2025–26 conducted on September 17, 2025 continued the college’s tradition of fostering academic excellence and holistic development. The programme highlighted recent academic initiatives, institutional regulations, and opportunities for research, legal aid, and skill enhancement. Faculty members addressed students’ queries and guided them on effective academic planning, career development, and professional conduct. The interactive sessions helped students gain a clear understanding of their academic responsibilities and institutional support mechanisms.
Academic Session 2024–25
The Orientation Program for the Academic Session 2024–25 was conducted on September 28, 2024. This program was conducted with the objective of introducing students to the college’s academic environment and reinforcing the values of professionalism, discipline, and legal ethics. Faculty members interacted with students and provided detailed information about the curriculum, examination system, attendance requirements, library resources, moot court activities, internships, and co-curricular opportunities. Students were encouraged to actively participate in academic and extracurricular activities throughout the session.
