Internal Examination
The Exam Cell at St. Thomas College of Law places strong emphasis on continuous academic assessment to ensure that students remain well prepared for their university examinations. As part of its academic framework, the college conducts internal examinations every semester to evaluate students’ understanding of the subjects taught during the course. These examinations play an important role in preparing students for the external final examinations conducted by the university and help maintain a consistent academic standard within the institution.
Practical Training and Viva Voce Examinations
St. Thomas’ College of Law places significant emphasis on practical legal education as an integral component of its academic programme. In accordance with the prescribed curriculum, the College regularly conducts Practical Training Viva Voce Examinations to evaluate students’ professional competence, advocacy skills, legal drafting abilities, and practical understanding of the law.
The College regularly conducts Practical Training Viva Voce Examinations in the following subjects:
- Professional Ethics, Accountancy for Lawyers and Bar–Bench Relations
- Arbitration, Conciliation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
- Drafting of Pleadings and Conveyancing
- Moot Court, Pre-Trial Preparations and Participation in Trial Proceedings
